I’ll be honest with you - I don’t do many styled shoots. The last few years have been insanely busy with real weddings and finding the time to squeeze a shoot in has been incredibly hard!
Lets go back to mid August and to a meeting between myself and Tracy (Owner of Swancar) … Two highly stressed out wedding industry workers trying to plan a last minute shoot in the hight of the wedding season is never advisable but after a few coffees the planning was well underway for the shoot
Plans we’re finally put into place a week later around Tracy and Steve’s dinner table at their beautiful derbyshire manor home. After a gargantuan sunday roast and a few wines later we had a plan!
Fast forward to late september and shoot day was finally here. The weather was perfect for shooting - Bit of cloud cover, warm and most importantly dry! Our models arrive late morning and prep is under way in beautiful Old Stables (which can be hired the night before your wedding) alongside the wonderfully talented Jenni, Sally, Sophie and Jennifer from the Bridal Artists who’ll be on hair and make up duty
An hour or so in the hands of the Bridal Artists and our models Alex and Harrison are ready to go! And my do we have a shot list to go through today!! During the planning stages Tracy and I made sure we had list of images that we wanted to get out of the shoot. It was a long list!!!!
A few slices of pizza, 40 smoke empty smokebombs and 9 hours later the shoot comes to an end as the light fades behind Swancar Farm and we end what has been an amazing day shooting and what feels like a last goodbye to the amazing summer of 2018
